I may have said this before, but Billions on Showtime is fantastic.  It’s probably my favorite show on television.

The return of What’s Up With That?

https://mashable.com/video/snl-at-home-whats-up-with-that-zoom/

It was a really good episode, Keenan has become an all-time SNL great.

Anyone see EP3 & 4 of the MJ story on ESPN?  I'm guessing MJ and Isiah Thomas still aren't exchanging Christmas Cards.  Reading into their issues, there is a lot of speculation that MJ kept Thomas off the dream team.

I missed those days when teams hated each other.  The best part last night was when MJ said No way Rodman is coming back from Vegas in 48 hours. And then of course he didn’t.

There isn't a team in the league right now that would put up with that kind of behavior.  Somehow the Bulls managed to keep Rodman focused when they needed him to focus.

Could you imagine a team essentially forgoing its summer vacation to hit the weight room either?

Players are expected to take care of themselves and keep them selves in better shape than at any time in the history of the league- I’d expect player to say no and continue to work out with their own trainers

Watching the MJ doc tonight reminded me I was at the triple overtime game in 93-it was epic, and I’m not even a basketball fan :mg:

Both episodes tonight were fantastic.  I guess the next one will be rough assuming it covers the death of his father

PBS show on George W Bush is interesting - brings back memories.  I had forgotten about water boarding.

I’m watching the Ken Burns episode on FDR tonight.  It airs again tomorrow at 10 pm on WETA.

Didn’t realize this was a mini series. Doh!

Nic Cage to portray Joe Exotic

That sounds horrible. It’s like Vince McMahon, the only person who can play Joe Exotic is Joe Exotic.

Dark on Netflix - German show, so watch with subtitles
The Boys on Amazon Prime

Easily the two best shows I've watched in recent years and both have new seasons coming out this summer.

In the past 4 months, I've rewatched the lion's share of both "The Office" and "30 Rock".

Am I correct in thinking that "30 Rock" was the consistently funnier show?

In my opinion, you are correct and it isn't even close. But I think we will be in the minority.

30 rock was much funnier, for whatever reason I cared more about the characters on the office and the outcomes of plot lines though

There were plenty of bad seasons/episodes of The Office, but the character building throughout the show, especially with regard to the Jim/Pam and Dwight/Angela dynamic were the big hooks.  The final few episodes were, IMHO, nearly perfect television.

BTW, John Krasinski's "Some Good News" web program last week reunited the entire cast (minus Stanley) to recreate the wedding dance scene from Jim and Pam's wedding in honor of a couple of who got married but who had to cancel their reception/ceremony.

And speaking of The Office, someone ported every episode to Slack - https://theofficeslack.com/#

the witcher was pretty good but if you didn't have a general idea of the main characters and the general world you would be 100% lost

Started watching this last week and am on the final episode.  I've only dabbled in the games but I think you're right.  The constant timeframe jumps with zero explanation had me quite confused at first, but even after I realized what they were doing I still found the lack of obvious transitions jarring, and I'm the guy who usually complains about modern entertainment spoon-feeding us too much

They must have had an extreme diehard viewer base from the books/games because I can't see the way the first season was done doing anything for casual viewers.

I’m starting the series on audible now- I never played the game, but the plot follows a lot of fantasy tropes, so I just accepted being confused at times. Between the Witcher and the Boys, I think the is the best tv has been in a while (to be fair, I was late on GoT and never really got into it)
