Anyone watching Tiger King

Joe Exotic was arrested in Gulf Breeze so I’m familiar with the story, but I’m afraid the animal scenes will be too stomach turning for me to enjoy it :(

Ozark season 3 dropped today :woop:

Episode one was awesome. Ruthie is maybe my favorite TV character right now.

Curiosity Stream is worth it if you're tired of "entertainment."

I believe they are running a 30 day free trial.

Yep. Just watched an hour documentary on Frank Lloyd Wright. It was interesting. I mean, the regular price is $2.99  a month I think, so it's not a stretch.

Might have to give that a shot. Amazon used to be good for documentaries (the kind where you learn something), but it seems like they haven’t added to that part of their library in years

If you’re looking for something in the background while working- ie not engrossing, but occasionally worth a look, try walking through history- the scenery is good and you learn a little, but it’s easy to tune out too

A lot of them are short, but I still find it a nice change from Netflix and Amazon's more sensational documentary series.

If you dig on amazon you can find decent choices, but it’s a matter of finding one and then going down the rabbit hole of what customers also watched.

Personally, I just wish someone would stream James Burke’s works

Oh, if you are so equipped, Curiosity Stream does a lot of 4K streaming, too. I'm not, so I can't speak to its quality.

Watching Tokyo Trial on Netflix. Very interesting. Had never read or seen any shows about these trials before.

There really aren't any scenes involving animals that are disturbing. The humans involved are far worse.

that was discussed on Episode 1.  There is a bit of a gory scene involving one of the trainers at the start of episode 2, but they blurred out the injuries.  So far it has been interesting, and apparently this is the new "hot" show on Netflix.

It’s the Covid version of “Making a Murderer”

But it is very entertaining.

I mean, he’s breeding lions, tigers, etc. because they’re cute and cuddly when they’re young but when they get older he doesn’t have a lot of use for them, no? I also read he fed them rancid meat, among other abhorrent things. I don’t have to see them being beat to know those poor animals were doomed, hard pass and I can’t really figure out why people are all hyped up to watch a sleazy skeevy creep and his equally gross cohorts but to each their own.

I found “WWII in Color” on Netflix. Surprisingly good and really interesting. Really well done
