Saturday night, April 30, Washington, D.C., the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It will be the eighth and last Correspondents Dinner of Obama’s presidency, at the Washington Hilton hotel. Red carpet arrivals begin at 5:30 p.m. ET; the dinner itself doesn’t start until two hours later, at 7:30 pm.

You can watch the entire event on C-SPAN, which will begin airing the event at 6:00 p.m. ET, and which will also stream the dinner on c-span.org. CNN’s coverage will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Larry Wilmore will be the last comedian to roast politicians and the political media for President Obama.

Who will be there?
Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Priyanka Chopra, Connie Britton, Morgan Freeman, Candace Cameron Bure, Matthew Morrison, Aretha Franklin, NeNe Leakes, Miles Teller, Kendall Jenner, Rosario Dawson, Michelle Dockery, Illana Glazer, Abbi Jacobson, Jeff Goldblum, Jaimie Alexander, and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, among many others, are all expected to attend. Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, and Tom McCarthy will all be there, along with the Boston Globe journalists that Ruffalo, McAdams, and their Spotlight costars portrayed in the Oscar-winning film.

Not planning to show up? Donald Trump.

I've heard of exactly 3 of those people.  Not like I'd be watching anyway, but this pretty well confirms that I won't be missing anything...

Let's play "Which Three Has VARK Heard Of?"

I bet Aretha Franklin, Morgan Freeman, and ... hmm ... Mark Ruffalo? Or Jeff Goldblum.

VARK, don't feel so bad. There are 5 names I have not heard of.

I had to ask the missus who Ruffalo was.    Goldblum's a Pittsburgh guy.   Probably a damned Penguins fan.

If ya'll could do me a favor and vote for Hannah, I'd appreciate it. She is one vote away from getting to The Voice finals.

He was good! and he had tougher words than either Andy or Gigi and did a great job with the clues! He could've worn something better than an undershirt lol but he was really natural, great job to Bryce!

But that was his best dress undershirt!  Think he was thrown off by the supermodel.

kimnat asked us to vote for her in a MLB contest a year or two ago, but we fell short then. Let's help out DPMOmaha, a longtime WNFF member.

She's definitely on this season. In fact, she'll be on the first show on the 29th. She can be seen in the clip at the :42 and 1:12 marks.

"The Americans"

Officially set to end after season 6.  I think this is for the best.  Giving them two more full seasons to end it exactly the way they want is perfect, and give the viewer time to adjust.  Absolutely fantastic show.  Give it a chance if you haven't.

I've been re-watching The Office (US) version.

I'd put their second season up there with the greatest seasons in TV history. Only beat by Breaking Bad Season 5.

I still watch the final episode from time to time. It was absolutely perfect.

Stan and agent picturesstache are slowly but surely seeing clues that they haven't seen before. I know that a lot of viewers are complaining about Paige, but isn't a teenage girl supposed to be annoying? Elizabeth is one cold human being.

I love The Americans but this season has been slower then years past. Not enough Phillip and Elizabeth badass-ery, too much Paige drama.
