I haven’t watched late night shows for years so the outcome doesn’t bother me. It does smell though.

Not Jack Parr or Steve Allen or Johnny Carson or David Letterman or Jay Leno funny...and that's the problem with today's late night TV...it's tribal these days...and it gets old really, really fast if you aren't a member of the tribe...

Agreed but Jay was also funny, just in a much more ordinary way.

I never thought Jay was funny. Jay thought Jay was funny and why he was always laughing at his own jokes. Not me though.

Happy Gilmore 2 was a perfect sequel-stupid funny yet still sweet just like the original with awesome cameos, sooo glad it didn’t suck.

CBS/Paramount just bought UFC rights for the next 7 years for $7.7 billion. As part of the deal Paramount will carry all UFC numbered events for free to subscribers. Seems like the PPV industry is just about dead now (ESPN just got the rights to WWE events for its streaming service).

Stuart Scott started out in Orlando...or at least that was where I first saw him on network TV.

He was dreadful on local TV but developed into something of a beloved fixture with sound tutelage at ESPN. It was remarkable to watch his professional growth, and from the sounds of it, he touched many of his colleagues on a personal level.

I saw another “old” Sportscenter guy last week. Larry Biel is on one of the SF stations. Remember first seeing him as a young guy on local tv in Honolulu in the 1980s.

I remember Biel, but likely from ESPN rather than KGMB. We left Hawaii in 1985...so maybe it was both.
