I'm still for drafting Danny Shelton if we stay at 5. Thoughts Spidey?

I prefer the DL from USC but I doubt he will be available. But I like Shelton too. Since Knighton is only on a 1 year deal they may consider it but they really need to address the OLB position and of course safety is still an issue. But my preference is to draft an OT.

The only sports message board I can access at work is ES... fml :(

:lmao:  You could only pick one and that was your top choice?  :poke:

Its the only one that isn't blocked dammit.

At the 5 spot, i want either Shelton or the kid from Florida. I like how he plays sideline to sideline with his hair on fire. No S or OT available at 5 makes sense. Trading down however should be on the table.
If we traded into the late teens and Gurley was the bpa, would you take him? Just curious as he's such a talented kid with a rare skill set.

You're talking about the RB Gurley?  Why would anyone take a RB in the first round now?  That just seems nuts.  Lots more busts and disappointments than successes.  Besides, Alfred Morris is a really solid back, even though he'll never be 2012 again.

Really think the Skins can trade back and get Shelton. This draft is chock full of edge rushers and offensive linemen. Time to stock up.

freak no. Trade back and draft an OT.

The Redskins signed CB Chris Culliver.

I'm not suggesting that we should mind you, just if he was clearly bpa.
Perhaps they trade down for OT and select a NT later. DL and 3-4 OLB are reareasonably strong this year.

Shelton doesn't get past the Bears I'd bet.

This roster is freaking swiss cheese. They need safeties, they need two OL, they need another OLB, they will probably need another WR since they may release Garçon and they need a QB. :?

Can address the safety, offensive linemen, and OLB in this year's draft. Honestly, there isn't a good first round safety, but there are some guys in the second and third round that will be solid.

So

1st Round: Randy Gregory
2nd Round: Sambrailo/Flowers/Humphries/Clemmings
3rd Round: Holliman/Tartt/Eskridge

Alternatively, I still think they could trade back and get Shelton. While the Bears might like Shelton, they really need pass rushers and they're in premium position to get a Shane Ray or Fowler.

Best case scenario is that somehow Amari Cooper is on the board at 5 and the Browns really want him so they trade up. We drop 12 and get at least another third rounder, if not a second rounder. Pick up Danny Shelton at 12, use our first second rounder on a OT and the second one on  safety. Then grab a Tre Jackson, Grasu, Dismukes, or Cann for the interior line.

Switching back from 5 to 12 nets you at least a mid second rounder plus a 4th or 5th.

I'm thinking they may be expecting to see Long make a significant jump this season and compete to start at G.

The Redskins always seem afraid to go for a full rebuild.  Funny cause the last two years were a disaster and not much right over the past two decades.  Maybe the new GM will go for quantity of picks.  Makes sense to me with so many holes.

I don't think they're afraid. In this case, it's in Gruden's best interest. Try to help RG3, use this draft to build the defense and Oline. RG3 probably fails and Cousins probably turns the ball over too much. Enter the 2016 draft looking for a franchise QB. Now you have two more years to show progress. Meanwhile, Scot has 3 full drafts of talent.

easier said than done. Look at how many qbs get drafted, look at how many turn in to franchise qbs

With the overwhelming amount of chatter about the draft on talk radio and online, I seriously thought the draft was this weekend or next weekend. A month and a half, wow.

Dan Snyder does it again:  http://dcrtv.com/

Napoleon II

As an ex-Skins fan and now football hater I find this hilarious.

Yea, if you could just translate that web page from 2002, I would appreciate it.

The Fan 106.7 destroys Snyder and his brown nosers.:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2015/03/16/106-7-the-fan-mocks-daniel-snyder-in-radio-spots-after-the-man-cave-debut-is-shelved/

....  and if the 'skins were on 106.7, they'd be on the knob too.    As a matter of fact, they're already on the Danny knob and don't even carry the games.    It's like two prostitutes callin' each other out.    Like the old wag once commented, "I'm having a good day when two jerks are fighting and I ain't one of them."

Disclaimer:    I did think it was funny when I heard it on Grant and Danny this morning.

Sideline reporters?

Both good candidates, but at least sideline reporters can offer something during the game that you haven't noticed or an injury update. Talk radio still matters less!
