It's definitely populous enough as a metro area.  It's somewhat small as media markets go, but no worse than other teams in the lower third of the NFL.  They should be gangbusters with attendance thanks to tourism.

There's the whole gambling thing though ...

San Diego staying put for one more year- I'm guessing having the  local fans that bother to show up booing won't make for a great home field advantage

Which makes it even more awesome to consider. I don't gamble, but it'd be a pageant to watch.

This makes me incredibly sad :( Megatron was so flippin' good, I can't imagine his numbers if he'd have had a more consistent quarterback and better coaching.

I wonder if CTE concerns will lead to more retirements at a younger age.

$50 million in the bank, wants to finish his degree at Georgia tech, lions aren't winning during his career- probably just not worth it to him anymore

Good for him. $50M is serious, serious money. His family is set for generations if he is reasonable with it.

Who gives a damn.  For $50M I'd let you club me in the head with a Cadillac repeatedly.

You have to take a few thousand hits to the dome before that's ever going to happen. Ain't nobody going to pay your keyboard kommando ass to do nothing without giving up your body to the FOOZBAWL godz.

I can run a Bloomberg terminal without feet, I can't do that without a brain, though plenty of others do successfully.

This isn't true.

On top of that, veterans are being diagnosed with CTE and other concussion related injuries. http://stm.sciencemag.org/content/4/134/134ra60

That wasn't the point. You constantly complain about the pain in your feet from gout. Imagine that paint in your head/eyes, coupled with being unable to remember normal things like people's names.

Has the Mathguy Fog infected your brain or are you just being your usual contrarian kangarooastic self?  My point is nobody is giving anyone an NFL signing without playing tons of football prior to the draft unless you're a serious physical freak like Antonio Gates (who played FOOZBAWL at some point in college before sticking with basketball).  You wear a helmet for a reason - don't get in the ring if you don't want to get punched.

The military isn't conscript and neither is FOOZBAWL so I'm not really sure what your point is here.  Gout is something I've had as a skinny adult and as a whale of an adult so, while the pain is probably not too dissimilar from the byproducts of CTE, you can't compare the causes at all.  Outside of a kidney transplant and/or genetic engineering there's little that could have been done to avoid me getting gout, you can't say the same with CTE.

My point was it doesn't take "thousands" of hits to the head to develop concussion issues. It can happen with very few hits to the head. In fact, it really only takes one hit.

I can compare. Would you walk away from a 50 million dollar sum if it meant being gout free?

We're talking past each other, I've said that numerous times and got poo pooed on by the Keyboard Kommandos for saying CTE in FOOZBAWL players could have come from anything, which it could have given how delicate the brain is.  I'm sure what ever unfortunate medical student cohort gets my body in a couple of years is going to discover CTE in my brain but I've had five documented concussion.  Using your logic you support exactly what I've been saying all along - you could get CTE from just about any trauma to the upper body (think whiplash or a hard body shot) and head, regardless of whether or not you're giving yourself up to the FOOZBAWL godz.

I can compare. Would you walk away from a 50 million dollar sum if it meant being gout free?

I don't care about money so you could make it $5B and the answer would still be yes.  The problem with this kind of questioning is that I've always had options that didn't rely on physical gifts to get me where I wanted to go.  You can't say the same thing about these kids giving their bodies and brains up for the FOOZBAWL and Hockey godz.  My question to you is this - outside of taking in circles what's your point?  Mine is who gives a damn do what you want you could die later today.

Johnny Football is apparently Johnny Girlfriend Beater. It's sad to see how far he's fallen.

Manziel's agent just dumped him.  So there's an opportunity for Scott Boras to sweep in and get him signed to the Nats assuming he's willing to take deferred compensation

If Jerry takes Hardy, Jerry will take anyone who will help him win.    There's the rub.    Johnny will not win anything for Jerry.
