He has a full no trade, but is from Los Angeles. So i bet he'd waive it to go to the Dodgers.

I also wouldn't worry too much about the Coors thing. Look at Lamaheiu.

I mean....I don't want the exact same guys as last year. Lightning struck once. We don't need every guy back plus an upgraded bullpen as that's all chance, IMO.

Yea don't bring them all back... just bring back Stras and Rendon... and Kendrick. 2 down, 1 to go.

Does Arenado have a ton of trade value? If he does, then he'll opt out in 2 years because it means he will get a bigger deal. If he doesn't, why would you trade a ton for him? Kinda reminds me of the Stanton situation.

Ken Rosenthal: #Dodgers pessimistic on chances of landing free-agent third baseman Anthony Rendon, sources tell The Athletic. #Rangers remain heavily involved. #Angels also interested, too. #Nationals a long shot; Rendon balked at deferrals in their initial seven-year, $210M-$215M offer.

Possible translation: let’s revisit structure, Nats.

Other tweets about Nats interest in Bryant; Morosi on MLB Network talked about the Cubs wanting pitching prospects and says what we all know about the Nats not exactly having a ton of high-rated minor-league depth there. This is what they pay Rizzo for

the MASN article noted yesterday Rendon may be more open to deferrals due to Strasburg's lobbying.  We'll see....

Do we know how much of Strasburg’s  salary is deferred?

I haven't really seen many answers on what Tony wants.  Is is strictly the most money?  Boras said geography isn't that important.  Is it familarity, being able to play with close friends and defend a World Series and be in a position to continue competing in years to come?  The Nats offer all that.  When you're making somewhere between 250-300 million dollars over 7 years...what amount of money difference really sways you?  7 million (1 per year), 14 million (2 per year)?

Give Rendon 1 year, $35M to let him take a victory lap in DC next year while working out an extension.  Done.

Rizzo cant just manufacture another pitching prospect. Teams want what they want. Like with the Sale trade. The White Sox wanted an infielder.

He probably just told Boras to do whatever he thinks is best and let him know where to report for spring training.

I agree with this.  You're basically trading for a guy at or above free agent market value with an option that can only work against the team.    I don't see why you'd give up much of anything for him.

The Dodgers seem like the most likely destination. They always have prospects to trade. Then they could flip Justin Turner for some replacement prospects or perhaps a pitcher.
