It seems the approach is similar to what we did with Harper - make him a fair offer and if he takes it great, if not, we move on. We aren't going to, and probably shouldn't overpay if there's a team like Texas that wants to do for him what Philly did for Harper.
I really want to seen Anthony back, but if $30 million a year over 7 years can't get it done, then so be it. Assuming the $215m is accurate, this is only about $800k less per year than what Arenado got (though Arenado got an extra year for $32 million)
