Given the number of people no longer in the stands and the number of Ravens flags sprouting up on cars in MoCo, it may be closer to over than ever.

nope, just starting, the 2015 Offseason championship campaign will engross the town just like it always does and other teams will get their airtime in the playoffs- same as the caps have dealt with for years

I wonder how long the donks at 980 and the Fan will continue to blather on about the failed franchise.

Is Rasual Butler NBA comeback player of the year.  Having an unbelievable year for a guy who played very little last year and was the last player to make the squad.

Philly boy btw.

Got a chance to start and took advantage.  The only problem with this team seems to be finding minutes for everyone.

Not bad for a Philly player.    Certainly not Overbrook caliber.     :poke:

Butler has had an odd career path. He was a key component of the Chris Paul/David West New Orleans contenders, but then he fell off the map for several years much earlier than a guy of his skill set should. I think teams just forgot that he can be a very useful dude.

I looked it up and he went to Roman Catholic which was my schools arch rival.  We finally beat them for the Catholic league title in my senior year 1975. Only to see out boys crushed by West Philly in the city title game.  They were led by Gene Banks and assorted other division one future players.

Looked up and he started last year in the D league. Hardly played with Indiana who really needed offense. He found the fountain of youth

Wizards are 12 games over .500 for the first time since 1978-79.  That is a lot of years of ineptitude and/or mediocrity.  They are looking like legitimate contenders at least in the East but of course this is DC sports something bad will probably happen.

Must-win, in my opinion. We lost last time at their arena and need to show we can beat decent teams on the road. Also, no Bosh or McBob, just Wade. Losing would be pretty terrible.

More than this game, I'd say if there is a "must"/"statement" game this early in the season, it's da Bullz on Tuesday.

Yes.  I had tickets for that game but traded for Caps tickets on Super Bowl Sunday. The Xmas game is important also cause national tv audience and first time we have been on Xmas in quite a while.

The schedule will be getting tougher so lots of statement games coming.
