Doug Fister has to be one of the biggest pickups of the season.

This.

Gio tomorrow night. Win tomorrow and Nats park is going to be insane on Thursday.
Imagine Storen closing that game in a 1 run ninth inning.

 You work late

I work all over the place.  Every other Tuesday night is our management meeting.  Dreadful timing.

Rizzo's client, Bryce Harper, was the one in 10-1 in the San Francisco's Giants playoff undefeated streak.

Do we still use Storen as the closer in a run one game?
No. Nothing but meatballs tonight.

Let's NOT go there.

The report of the Nationals demise was premature.

can we pitch fister tomorrow too?

No.  Zimmermann pitches tomorrow, then a day off, then Fister, then Zimmerman, well, you get the idea.

Can anybody with decent Photoshop skills add a Nats' cap to Mark Twain's head? I'm thinking of his famous quote: "Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated."

Kind of late.  Must be firing everyone Wednesday.

It's called "right sizing".    :)

A lot of people are going to say that was another bad 9th inning showing by Drew Storen without giving a second thought to the situation he came into.  With a 4 run lead the one thing you can't do is walk someone so he came out throwing strikes exactly how he was supposed to do it.  When the situation called for it he threw a lot fewer straight fastballs down the middle and got it done.  Very good outing from Drew Storen.

God, Gio tomorrow..

Drew Storen managed to exorcise some of the demons of Game 5 from 2012 tonight. Let's hope Gio does the same!

It says a lot about this team that they bounced back from the 18 inning heartbreaker.
