I really can't stand the Giants or their coach Bruce.

I haven't forgiven the Giants since they let the NL down against the Yankees in 1962.

fister with such a gutsy performance - harper with two ultra clutch catches - ian with a great hit to leadoff the inning - ramos with the bunt of the year

say what you want about the nats this playoffs but they showed some spine today in a game that probably many people expected to be another doozy

That was before :P   ....   I remember thinking how could they (Giants) and the Dodgers leave NYC?     Who the hell wanted to be in California?    Hated Candlestick and the Coliseum.

Except Vog is clutch in the postseason

Allegedly, medical school textbooks in Poland used to carry a disclaimer on the pages where they explained what a fatal dosage of alcohol was. The disclaimer was "may not apply to Russians".

Perhaps scouting reports on the weaknesses of the Giants and Cardinals should come with big warnings saying "may not apply in postseason"

I just got an e-mail from a guy I work with that said, simply, "That win was NEEDED!"

Gee, really? I wasn't clear on how elimination games work!

Gio isnt the issue, hell be fine. Question is can we hit. Offense was not impressive today. Half the runs were off a fluke.

Nats were CRUSHING the ball in the late innings - giants were very lucky Nats didn't score 8 runs -

I think the offense is awake now

He sucked...again...

I'm ignoring nothing...2 hits to start an inning is NOT the freakING plan!
Bloop single then the one mistake pitch was the hanging breaking ball to Pence.  If you take out the incredible luck that was Sandoval breaking his bat and happening to have the ball land between 3 defenders, Storen gets out without giving up a run.  Not all saves are 1-2-3.  You say 2 hits to start an inning is not the plan.  I say any way you win a playoff game is a good enough plan to me.  There was never a meaningful run on base in that inning.  Job well done.

Our offense was vastly improved from Games 1 and 2.

And weren't you the one who called for a sweep today, by a score of 9-0?  Oops.

Well said. He locked in and closed it out with minimal damage after some early trouble. Good for him.
