ian used to be an aggressive hitter. but that has its drawbacks. so i think he tried to be sort of a patient hitter. but instead he just compromised to the worst of both worlds. takes one strike, then gives up and returns to his 'aggressive' form, and hits one to an infielder. if im a pitcher, and he takes strike 1, i'm always throwing him a ball
