I would have started Lobaton and Zim at 1B I think.

Slumpers - You were good when we ran away with the division.  Matt has shown you faith.  Prove worthy.

The whole world expects the Nats to roll over tonight.

Time to shock the world.

I see he's going with the hot hand.  That puts an incredible amount of pressure on Fister to throw a complete game shutout.  And even that might not be enough.   Somehow I still feel we're winning this.

:nervous: I don't like Fister's matchup vs them. I think I'd rather have Gio vs 4 LH batters.

Matt will pull him with a 1 run lead and 2 outs in the 9th...

Of course you don't but you're such a wussy that you'd be saying the same thing if Gonzalez was scheduled to pitch.

So, we're gonna get swept with our best offensive player getting 3 AB's?

If this happens, can we trust Williams again?

shocked that zimmerman isn't starting, but Harper has had success against Bumgardner, and LaRoche is something like 6-21 career against him.

Williams going with the horse he rode in on, gotta respect that I guess (if it works).

Seriously?

It's an elimination game and those are the guys who have gotten you here in the first place. You don't just bench them because of 2 bad games.

why not? freak their hurt feelings. this is a must win game. You should start the players who give you the best chance of winning that game. Lobaton should be in there.

We don't have better options at this point.

And why just Span, Desmond, and Ramos? Why not Werth? Why not Harper? Why not LaRoche?
