I'd rather wait until we had a lead of some size before going to Roark.  Of course, with this offense...  :?

What's lost in all that was a great relay by Desmond and Ramos actually catching the freaking ball.

Yes that was huge.

Your right pitcher spot coming up. So a reliever makes sense but him in the 12th would work.

I think this should sum it up:

The best option in that situation was to let Jordan Zimmermann finish his damn shutout.

The next best option in that situation, possibly by a wide margin, was to let Storen come in to start the inning, WITH THE BASES EMTPY.

The WORST option, by a mile, was to wait until runners were on base and let Drew Storen pitch in the playoffs for the first time since crumbling thanks in part to allowing a few runners to reach base.

Storen is terrible coming in with runners on base.  Why doesn't Williams know this?

Dude had retired 18 in a row and sat on 92 pitches going into the 9th.  Why would you pull him?  Hard hit balls be damned, they were all outs.

compare manager resumes

Boche is arguably the best manager in baseball, but we'll beat him.

Hindsight is always 20-20. If he left him I and he gave up the run others would have bashed that decision.  It's all on the players.
