how do you lose with RZ on the bench?  bat him 5th tomorrow followed by Harper.

And play him where on the field?

It's official---the Cardinals beat the Dodgers 10-9, and the Dodgers have surrendered the biggest lead for a postseason loss in their history.

I was going to joke about Stan Kasten suffering a case of deja vu, but then I remember he had already quit as Nats team president before the 2012 season.

there is no secret that stammen can be really garbage when he wants to check out his last outing vis MIA. Our relivers will be key to wins, I don't trust blevins but he did fine today and please no detwiler too.

3rd base - Rendon to 2nd.  i'll take his live bat over the infinitesimal chance of him losing the game because of a bad throw.

He's not playing because of his throwing.  He can't run.  He can't play third base.  Have you not been watching the games?

Plus this suggestion takes out one of the only two guys to score today.

he just freaking played 8 innings on Sunday.   and don't act like you know what he can do.  do you practice with the team?

Exactly. I don't even think he's taken any reps at third base, much less played the position, since coming off the DL. He's not playing third.

he went to the DL for a hamstring.  his arm didn't get weaker.  now if he's unable to move laterally i can understand him sitting

RZ had a weak fly ball in his at-bat while his replacement in the lineup accounted for 50% of our runs scored

Zimmerman on 106.7 on Monday said he can't run full speed.

Man, what a weird dream.   Woke up this morning and recalled dreaming that LaRoche threw to second on a "sacrifice" bunt (safe), Ramos simply missed a pitch allowing runners to advance, Blevins pitched like an ace, VaRK guessed the attendance within 120 bodies, people want Zimmerman to start, the motorcycle ride today was postponed due to weather (WTF), the rum is gone  ...  Ran downstairs and found the bottle with plenty left for today's game.     Ah, it was all a dream.    Nightmare of a dream.

Was at the game yesterday. Disappointing result obviously but it's just one game. Remember we won Game 1 in St. Louis in 2012.

Hopefully we can get some early offense going today. I know Hudson owns us historically but I'm optimistic we can beat him up. I'm more nervous about JZ. He sucked in his only post season start and he could be a little bit fatigued coming off the no no.

I'd never sat out in this part of the ballpark before. Have to stand on the long fly balls because you can't see the fielders too well. But hey, the ticket was free, given to me by my brother (he's sitting to my left in the red AFCEA shirt, as in the "AFCEA Sideline Report").
