Which is why I specified "no tie breaker" in my post, we have the best record, not the same record but own the tie breaker.

So, if we beat the Marlins tomorrow and the Orioles lose, we have the best record in the DMV

We have one final chance to get ahead of 2012.  If we win tomorrow, 2014 96th win will be on the 28th.  2012 96th win was on the 29th.

Technically, we'd be ahead of 2012 until October 2nd because the 2012 team lost the next two games after the 96th win and didn't get 97 and 98 until the final two games of the season.

Why is the schedule so much earlier this year?
