By the way, crappy defense there.  Taylor blows a catch and Espy inexplicably throws to first.  What the hell was he thinking?

Fundamentals.  95% of the time you have it beaten into you: Don't be tempted to go home for the tag out when there is a perfectly good force out at 1st.  I can see why he didn't unload the cannon although considering what a gun he shot to 1st it was obvious the throw would have been good.

After that play in the field, agreed.  I'm like SF, you're only as good as your latest play.

But in truth, Taylor has the rep as being a superior defensive player, but to my eyes his reads are poor.

Experience.  His glove is good, his legs and his right arm are phenomenal.  Once he's got a little grey in his beard like Denard, you won't believe the reads he is taking.

Live at the park it didn't look like he had much of a chance to get there at all.

Doubt they'll let me visit! Enjoy the buffet. They do have free white zin....

We do have standards, you know.

I'm going to be in section D, just to the left of home plate, and row C.  Should be well in view of the MASN cameras.  (shudder)

Not when you take a serpentine route to the ball, then stick your glove out 3 feet only to see the ball nick your wrist on its way by at 2.5 ft.

Then stop by the Loft before the game.  Welch and I are meeting up there, him in his Killebrew and me in my MacDougal.  Bring beer and we'll let you listen to our conversation.    8)

Trade Harper for Robinson Cano, promote Souza and Taylor, platoon them both in LF and occasionally play them both so you can rest Werth or Span?

Span CF
Rendon 3B
Werth RF
Cano 2B
Face 1B
Desmond SS
Souza or Taylor LF
Ramos C

STACKED.
