Nationals vs Mets, Game 3
« Topic Start: September 25, 2014, 06:44:57 PM »
Chase Hughes @chasehughesCSN  ·  1h
Span sits again. Here's Gm2 lineup: Rendon 3B, Cabrera 2B, Werth RF, Ramos C, Schierholtz CF, Moore 1B, Hairston LF, Espinosa SS, Gonzalez P

:wtf: is this

Schierholtz batting 5th.

I don't get it. Does Matt really want to start the NLCS in LA?

Span said his knee is feeling better than yesterday but I guess he's not quite 100% to play; the DH tomorrow likely factoring into that decision.

And who do the Mets have batting 5th? Probably a potted plant (I haven't looked at tonight's lineups, but we know it won't be Nieuwenhuis or Granderson).

If that's true then this lineup should look much better.

Look at the Mets lineup and look at ours.   They want this game more than we do.  I'm not making a judgment, just stating a point of fact.

With this Nats lineup, the chances of many balls getting to CF aren't that good.

Double headers wear me out.    I'll miss tomorrow's DH and the weekend games.   I'll be in the 'burgh for college football, pro-football and golf.

Granderson and Murphy are the only legit starters in that lineup.

Oh, and they could only do it on Blake Treinen and a brain fart of a game by Tyler Clippard.

Better question---does he really want to play St. Louis in the NLDS?
