Well, at least, this means we'll play tonight's game with urgency, right?

...and hopefully a Major League lineup...

We should be that fortunate.

I'm sure Williams is working on a pep speech right now.

They didn't use their worst relievers.
Neither did we.

In fact, Tyler Clippard is on the hook for the loss

Pretty sure he wasn't eligible. Not like he had a realistic shot of getting on there any way. He might have played himself out of the farm system for next year though.

Edit: Unless that's what you meant. I suck at reading today. I thought you said playoff roster.  :bang:

I don't think I've ever heard Matt Williams say, "We didn't play well."  It would be nice to hear it once.

Yeah, we didn't play well, but its only one game.  You'd think we just lost 8 of 9 or something.

Nah you had it right.  I didn't realize he probably wasn't eligible.  Either way, you're prob right about the farm system too.

We need 2 wins in 6 (well now probably 5) games to get home field advantage, and that's if LA sweeps Colorado.

outside of Tyler Clippard (all star reliever) the team played well. Treinen got ground balls and the Nationals scored four runs.

btw - like FP mentioning the solid arms in the NL east and saying Diekman and Giles, not Papelbon.

Nice hit, jose.
