I'm getting the impression you think highly of Roberto Clemente.

Somewhat   :)

Why did Blake get pulled with 55 pitches?

My assumption is because he will be a part of the post-season bullpen and overthrowing him may be a mistake.

#4 starter is his ceiling. I still do think his calling will be late inning reliever.

Yeah, what was Roark's ceiling before he became an Ace in the big leagues? I bet you it was "organizational depth".

Or perhaps not even the postseason bullpen. They may need to use him over the next ten days to save the starters' arms.

I really like Roark but that might be a bit presumptuous.

PS - They just showed their little leaguedness.

Schierholtz lackluster. Can't believe he has a free ticket to playoff roster.

btw Tyler Moore is a disaster at 1B. He can't come up with any grounder.

That was close to being a Little League home run.

absolutely. I would have Gio miss his turn at least once, and pitch starters no more than 5 innings. Heck i'd even start Soriano and that way he's nowhere near the bullpen.
