That was a crusher to the Mets.  They had their win expectancy all the way up to 14.2% but the double play dropped them in one pitch to 2.5%.  That's a good moderately high leverage out for Stammen.
The Mets players were discussing in their dugout that it really ought to be 26.6% instead of 14.2%. So they just decided to throw in the towel on both that inning and on their wild card hopes.

You should not be having to do all of this crap for a game where you lead 6-0 in the 3rd inning!  You're supposed to keep scoring!  If you keep scoring then you can use the absolute worst pitchers in the bullpen.

He is moving, still conscious.

They are going to try to get him on a stretcher.

Mike Fiers.

Giancarlo's father and aunt are in the audience. Marlins sent up officials to talk to them.

Took like 6 guys to lift Stanton onto the stretcher. He could not stand up. Half fetal position
