Over, for Braves hitters. :)

Seriously though, he's standing straight up.

Which way is he bending?   :)

If you believe that things average out, we could be in for a tough series in NY. Our win rate there is not sustainable. 25 of the last 28 or something like that.

Worrisome.

I say 2 runs
but will this count towards his extension clause?

It will not.

The NY series was already very high on my list of worries.  I was already writing my diatribe.

Is he short of the number of saves? Think they cut him off in time to not pay him too much?

He didn't give up any runs, did he? That would be atypical, wouldn't it?

Wasn't clean in any sense, but somehow got away.

Typical for when he was playing "well" rather than the last number of appearances.

The option kicks in not by the number of saves but by the number of games he finishes. The magic number is 120 games finished. At this point he is at 104 so he would have to finish all but the last two games remaining in order for the option to kick in. We're safe.

No Charlie.  If they would have loved to sweep this series, they wouldn't have played like crap.

Thanks for the explanation. I did not know the details.

It must be nice never to have been disappointed in your life by not getting all that you desired.

Under what circumstances could they have swept this series when they played like they played today?  You have to at least be realistic.  If a team plays the way the Nationals played today they're not playing to win this game.  I think that's irrefutable.  Isn't it?

Sometimes you do your very best and it's not enough. You can't assume that they didn't play well because they didn't want it enough. crap happens.

Look, I don't mind losing this game.  I mind how they played.  You can lose a well-played game 3-2 or 4-2 and I'd be a little perturbed because I hate the Braves.  I wouldn't be livid and I'm livid because they came out an played so poorly.  I'm livid because they're CAPABLE of playing so poorly!  >:(
