This is one of those "head shaking" games that the Nats are capable of.

This.

Stammen fails for second game in a row. He used to be our reliable long man in pen that would go multiple innings in extras. Now he can't even make it through 1 frame.

The Dodger game was too, but it was eventually overshadowed by the marathon win

I agree but he kept making pitches on the ground instead of challenging the hitter those were awful pitches but yeah hard to blame him
That's always been his game. Stammen doesn't have overpowering stuff.

I'm deflated. I was riding high with the NFL opener last night, a Nats win tonight, college football and boxing tomorrow night, a full day of NFL games on Sunday and 2 Monday night games on Monday. Then Soriano.

Does anyone feel we can come back in the bottom of the 11th after this disasterous game?

Soriano killed the spirit tonight.  I'm anxious to see how this team plays against the Phillies for the rest of this series.  Clearly, they have to raise their game.  They need to win this series.  They need to play with more urgency.

What game are you watching?  You want Stammen should run out and tackle Harper so Span can catch a routine fly?

Can't win the series with Hamels lurking on Sunday. We needed tonight's game in the worst way.

Sometimes SF says crap like that to get reaction. He can't be that stupid as to believe that. That should've been a clean inning for Stammen.
