Yea, the team with a 7.5 game lead, complain to NY about a close call.  That will look good.

It has nothing to do with a close call.  It's the interpretation of the rules.  Is irrefutable evidence still the standing rule?

Bullcrap.  Winning, Hall of Fame managers have been made famous by standing up to the umpires.

I guess he should march right up Park Ave to MLB headquarters?  WTF...

Obviously it's a bullcrap call, what, do you want him to put the game under protest?

Are you saying Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, Joe Torre, Earl Weaver, Leo Durocher, Casey Stengel, etc. challenged the umpires?    Pshaw

I didn't say Matt Williams, though he should have gotten tossed tonight when that second call was overturned.  Rizzo would just speak with someone in the MLB office.

PC, I live 1 block from the MLB Commissioner's Office, let me know if you want me to say something for you.  I can throw some street meat at his window.

Yea I know.  I think Matt is trying to not start off the wrong way with the umps given it is his 1st year.

I agree and I'm sure at sometime he'll exert himself.   I don't think he's a shrinking violet.   I also think the replay system has taken a lot of the fire out of the managers.

KEY STAT: The Nationals have given Gio Gonzalez a total of four runs of support over his last 39 1/3 innings pitched.

Damn. That sucks hard. In any case, Atlanta lost, so tonight is no big deal.

I can top your pic.  This is the Bryce at-bat against Papelbon.

Pitches 1 and 4 were called strikes.

I just watched the Phillies feed on MLB.tv.  There was no irrefutable evidence that Frandsen was off the bag.

Despite the loss tonight, I sure love Cabrera.  Man, I thought we'd win after his homer tied it.

Thrilled the Braves lost again.

One more pic for the record.  Pitch #2 is the Galvis homerun.  Only slightly less Pence-like.

For some reason, high and out of the strikezone by our pitchers has become the wheelhouse for opposing hitters.
