Gonzalez is like a lot of the posters here. He wants every freaking call to go his way or he whines about it.  :hysterical:

Another mental midget.
This is nearly worse than Strasburg.

I would not let his ass hit for himself in the bottom of the 3rd. almost 80 freaking pitches in three innings

We've seen a lot of bad ball/strike umpires this year but I don't see today's ump much worse than average. Gio is grasping because he can't throw a strike.

Gio is what he is. He's always gonna walk a lot of guys. But his stuff more often then not makes up for it. Just not his day today.

You can't let him hit here, Matt. That's definitely a white flag. Leave Gio in to give up 3 or 4 more.

Down 2-1 but it feels like 10-1.

fork it. this game is a loss. the offense didn't do enough and Gio is a basket case that can't throw a strike.
2nd   Ian Desmond singled to right, Adam LaRoche scored, Bryce Harper to thyrd, Ian Desmond to second advancing on throw.
3rd   J Lucroy grounded out to pitcher, R Braun scored, A Ramirez to second.
3rd   K Davis singled to left, A Ramirez scored.

       Milwaukee Brewers   2
  Washington Nationals 1

Williams probably figures he's gonna need the 'pen in the upcoming road trip since we're gonna be playing in a couple band boxes in Colorado and Cincinatti and wants to squeeze out as many innings as he can out of Gio.

Nice job, Denard.

(Going nowhere with Gonzalez and Strasburg.)

Meh these games are at a premium, we should call up bullpen help later if need be. We could end up in a race for a Wild Card spot with Milwaukee so this H2H game is crucial.

Well every game counts, but you still gotta be smart about how you handle your arms.

And Gio is talented enough to bounce back and pitch 2-3 straight scoreless innings.

Why? What was he supposed to do let it hit the wall to benefit the Nats?

I don't think the brewers are done scoring so we need to plate a few more.

Jayson gets a curve. doesn't swing. gets a fastball. doesn't swing. and then chases a ball way out of the zone.

Had TV on but dozed a bit.  I see Strasburg spit up a lead, which is why he's not an ace, then I hear Rendon doubled to CF with somebody other than Span on (because he's not a leadoff hitter).    what else did i miss?
