Mark Zuckerman ‏@ZuckermanCSN  2m
More Espinosa: From L side of the plate, .578 OPS and 38% K rate. From R side of the plate, .830 OPS and 24% K rate.

This is his father's fault for trying to make him a switch hitter when he clearly should not have been.

Why is Roark still out there?

Maybe bc we have a DH tomorrow?

3 hits from .220 Chris Coghlan. :hang:

He was out though. Players are never called safe when they slide into 1st. Stupid.

9 BBs to 43 Ks in a hitters paradise International League doesn't seem too promising.

The IL isn't a hitters paradise.

Beginning with his second season Ted Williams never struck out that many times in back to back seasons combined. And Stan Musial never did it.

Did ya miss my sarcasm?    Or, are ya simply enlightening the masses?

Steven Souza and Tyler Moore make it seem like one.

No way we get swept. First, we haven't lost this game yet. You may be waving the white flag already but I'm not conceding this one. And there is no way they lose both games of the doubleheader.

Who's pitching tomorrow's games for us?

He's a grown ass man. He should abandon it on his own.

Walters is also still young for his level.

Yeah it was more about praising those guys. I knew you were joking. Stan Musial had a season (at age 22) when he had 617 AB's and only struck out 18 times.   Espinosa strikes out 18 times in two weeks.

No one should be a switch hitter. We all have a dominant eye for a reason.

Gio doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. And then Treinen vs their Ace no chance.

Yesterday and today were our best chances to win a game in this series.
Jeff Samardzija was originally scheduled to face Gio at 1:00 pm. With the 7:10 pm game on FOX, maybe they didn't want to put out a mediocre rookie making his MLB debut on national TV.  They might also think Gio is beatable, and hope to sweep the split double header.

Cubs got nothing to lose. They are definitely going for the 4 game sweep.

This will go down as the Nats' worst series of the season. Yes, worse than the Cardinals' one.

Werth chases a ball a foot out of the strike zone.

Yes Bob, it is like Werth.     It's the numbers Robert.    Played golf with my brother-in-laws brother one time and he shot a 98.    He said, "I'm not that bad."    I said, "That's what it says on the scorecard."

Another BP fastball for strike 3. This team really, really stinks.

They are not playoff caliber.

So much for "turning the corner" after that 16 inning win. About to lose a 3rd game in a row.
