Gonna be interesting to watch 2008 catch up with 2009.  If memory serves, we only won like 10 games or so between July 1 and August 31 in 2008.

It feels nice to watch us gain some ground on the 2013 team.

The Nats' 2008 campaign, truth be told, wasn't much better than their 2009 Dark Night of the Soul...they lost only one less match (59-102 vs 59-103), went 6-21 from 28th June through 31st July, and had a 12-match losing streak from 8th-20th August.

What may have taken some of the sting out of 2008 may have been that walk-off win over the Braves in the home opener (Nats Park debut)...so much promise, so little fulfillment.
