Doesn't matter, you still tag. If it drops, it still take more time to reach down and pick it up then to grab it from the glove.

He had no chance to score on a tag play so what is the point of tagging? If it drops he has a head start being off the bag.  :smh:

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I thought he probably scores if he tags.  Seems like in the time it would take Andrus to stop his momentum out, spin, orient himself to the plate and Span is 1/2 home.

What's with the Willy Wonka theme?

You're going to get it and you're going to like it.

Even if he doesn't, force the throw. Maybe they make a mistake. But to get all of 8 feet off the bag doesn't help you either way.

:lmao:  You're always endorsing walking the 8th hitter to get to the pitcher.

The more games Roark starts, the worse he gets.

Not with just a runner on 1st and the 8 hitter being crappy. Stupid.

Now he can't throw strike to Darvish.

Yep. He's better suited to be a long reliever in the pen and spot start in case of an emergency.

Pretty good contact there for an AL pitcher.

Do pitchers in japan bat or do they play fake baseball there too?

They should be treating Darvish like Strasburg and swinging on first pitch fastballs. But only Span and Rendon heeded to this advice. Only some of them got the scouting report.

Darvish was in the PL in Japan which does not use the DH. The CL in Japan does use it though.

First pitch heater after first pitch heater. They refuse to swing.
