I guess they angled for some extra time off whilst the Nats were sucking.

This reeks of desperation. They have no confidence in beating the Marlins right now so they'd rather delay it to later in the season.

It's supposed to rain much more tomorrow than today. What a joke.

Cancel that too. A respite from suckage.

huge mistake.

The Marlins don't come back Nats Park until the season's final series. If Nats need a win, players will wish they tried to get this one in.

Bad storms in Chicago (going to Blackhawks game tomorrow) have me and my youngest daughter stranded at LaGuardia.  Hope we get out tonight...

Radar shows clearing to the west.  Very strange decision.

It looks like another storm should hit around 10pm

This is excellent. Make it up when we're healthier

In the last series of the season? Meh. I'd rather bank the wins now while we are still kind of in contention. That game could mean absolutely nothing by end of September. Watch, we probably won't even play it.

No. Much rather have, what will be, a Marlins team out of contention and not giving a crap. It will mean just as much at the end of the season as it will later. Play it when the Nats are healthy.

The marlins may be saying the same thing about the Nationals.  :lmao:

Fine. Then it's an extra game for our September call ups to play in. But I really, really doubt the Marlins are in contention in September. I'd be surprised if they were still .500 at the break.

The Nats are the ones chasing the Marlins. Florida is better in every facet except bullpen.

Came here to yell Fire Rizzo and Rick Eckstein, but the board actually is. :lmao:

The umpires make the cancelation calls, btw. I was surprised it was called.

As for the rescheduling, I don't know the process for determining rescheduling. Is it up to the two teams or does the league get involved? That said we are playing like total garbage right now so I don't mind it at all from a strategic sense.
