Anyone with a half decent fastball can knock the bat out of Span's hands and get him to hit weak fly balls to the left side.

Let's face it Souza's not going to unseat McLouth from his domain of suck anymore than any other youngster. Rizzo won't allow it. If he was brought up he would only hit in pinch hitting opportunities where he'd lose his rhythm and then another young promising career is ruined. Even more so when Harper is back.

Span is the biggest determiner of whether this team wins or not.  If he has a bad game this team loses.  For some reason, they can't overcome a bad Span game.

...and he has a lot of bad games.

Better performance for Roark than I thought he would have after the first few innings. Not great but definitely not bad. Shame he'll probably get another home loss tagged to him.

He gets the most ABs on the team. Gotta get on base.

bullpen implosion. This team doesn't know how to pitch to Stanton.

Game is on the line. Can't let that runner score. McGehee is an RBI machine.

I would take that start every time and not nag about it. Not even a little bit.

Nats have to get to the magic 4 run mark to win.

One thing is certain, I can't see how any sane person would ever want SF on their side for anything. The slightest adversity and he's whining about the world coming to an end and panicking. I would rather be alone than have someone beside me that is going to crap his pants at the slightest sign of hardship.

That's not a strike. Not even close. Tailed in off the plate.

This team is not going anywhere with Werth flailing away aimlessly at the plate. Pathetic.

Welp, with Ramos/Desmond/Espinosa due up in the 9th, I'm gonna officially chuck this one up as a loss.

How egregious was that called third strike?

I don't see how Rendon is going to win batting titles giving up on all pitches within three inches of the plate with two strikes.
