When are we going to stop nagging about the pitching?  The pitching is freaking fine.

So he induces a weak grounder to second and they take him out?  I never figured out the logic of removing pitchers when the fielding sucks or the hitter's lucky.

ditto

It's an old guy thing.    Every time I hear Barrett, I think Syd Barrett.

Sorry Terp - once again we disagree.  Treinen's pitches had less snap, for he was getting tired

Complete BS.  Treinen has a right to be pissed, what game is Williams watching?

You just don't get it.  Whatever runs the Nats score, the pitching (without consideration of defense) is supposed to "step up" and hold the opponents to at least 1 less.

They just need to try harder.

Not only shut the opponents out but find a way to score at least a safety.  :?

They shouldn't have let McCutcheon drive in the game winning run but yeah the offense continues to cost us games. Cost us yesterday's 2-1 stinker and also the 15 inning loss as we squandered chance after chance to win the game.

Only quality pitching job of the past three years was Gio's in Houston, where he shut them out AND scored a home run, right :D?

Explain to me the timing of his getting pulled please.

He throws a pitch that the batter just barely gets a little piece of, so little he chops it off the ground towards second.

Why at that moment does Treinen need to go?  He induced a weak grounder, just what you want.  You think he should have allowed the batter an extra millimeter of bat surface contact?

The Nats have had 21 games in which they scored 3 or fewer runs.  :?  And some of that took place when they had Zimmerman, Harper and Laroche in the lineup.
