Braves going to lose again tonight. They're mediocre as hell this year. And sadly the Nats are worse. :hang:

Not bad though.  Can't put blame on him for decisions that should come from bench
true, Matt is most responsible. Just ignorant to the game situation.

What do ya know, another amazing defensive play against the Nats. It's such a tired act at this point.

You're not the only one that missed it.

Desmond flailing away foolishly. You wonder why anyone ever throws him anything to hit.

6 IP 1 ER vs a crap pitcher like Volquez is so unacceptable. The Nats say they refuse to use injuries as an excuse but that's exactly what they've done with the play on their field for the last 3 weeks. Just terrible. 8-11 record in May after tonight.

5 IP 2 ER. That should be it for Treinen. not a good outing.
They not gonna take 'im out afta only 80 pitches.

Pitchers      IP   H   R   ER   BB   SO   HR   PC-ST
B Treinen   5.0   3   2     2        4      3      0        80-51

even are good hitters are starting to struggle...Werth and Rendon...that is not good at all!! We all knew they couldn't carry the team all year..other guys are getting opportunities and just not taking advantage

You got me thinking

I couldn't find the most runners left in scoring position(has to be out there somewhere) in a season, but found that the 1976 Cincinnati Reds left the most when they stranded 1328 runners on base during that season.  Sidenote - The 1976 Reds won the world series that season.

Well, obviously stranding the most runners is a stat that needs context.  They also probably had the most runners on base, and scored the most runs.  Too lazy to look it up so I'll call that a mindfact.

Harper, Zim, and LaRoche are out. What do you expect?

I feel terrible for our pitching staff...for the most part this year they have pitched well, but with this atrocious offense it's going to take a toll on them. I would feel exasperated with these hitters..

I expect them to be better than  100 loss offenses.

Rendon average down 54 points since the beginning of May. From .316 to .262. :smh:

For May he's .182 / .253 / .273.
