You got me thinking

I couldn't find the most runners left in scoring position(has to be out there somewhere) in a season, but found that the 1976 Cincinnati Reds left the most when they stranded 1328 runners on base during that season.  Sidenote - The 1976 Reds won the world series that season.

I was curious.

The record is by the 1941 St. Louis Browns who stranded 1,334 over 154 games, which amounts to 8.66 per game.

The Nats are stranding 15.20 through 46 games so far. All the teams have high LOB per game so far this season, with San Diego the best at 12.53. Shockingly, 9 teams are stranding more per game this season than we are.

But technically we are on pace. It'll probably dip down, but who knows how much with this team.

But at least we're getting men on base.

Rendon average down 54 points since the beginning of May. From .316 to .262.

This seems to be going unnoticed.  Don't look now but Rendon is now down to .262 and he is not hitting the ball hard at all.  Ground balls to the left side are his new thing.
