Game about to be lost right now because he walked the pitcher.

It's a lock McCutcheon drives in at least 2 runs. Bet your house on it.

I'll bet your house.

Let's hope it's just 2 runs here and not 4.

One run might as well be 40. Game.

2 runs in 15 innings on Monday.
9 runs on Tuesday.
1 run yesterday.
No runs so far today.

How do we rock Cueto and be hapless against all others?

Yes, all those comeback wins my snarky friend, I love how people point this out about those. Happens a lot with Peyton Manning in football.

It just means you weren't playing well and scoring early on and made it harder on yourself.

As I type this Desmond hits a home run, but numbers show this year we pretty much need 4+ runs to win a game. That's a ways to go. And you have to hope that was a minor bloop for Treinen.

3rd   A McCutchen hit by pitch, E Volquez scored, J Harrison to third, N Walker to second.
4th   Ian Desmond homered to center.

  Washington Nationals  1
Pittsburgh Pirates        1

not a catch. ground can't cause a fumble but it can cause an incompletion.

The team is going for the record for the season for runners left in scoring position

I was curious.

The record is by the 1941 St. Louis Browns who stranded 1,334 over 154 games, which amounts to 8.66 per game.

The Nats are stranding 15.20 through 46 games so far. All the teams have high LOB per game so far this season, with San Diego the best at 12.53. Shockingly, 9 teams are stranding more per game this season than we are.

But technically we are on pace. It'll probably dip down, but who knows how much with this team.
