The Marlins pass the Nationals for second place after tonight's nightly disappointment.

The whiskey can only be purchased at county run stores

Yes, but the prices are WAY better than Va, which is ABC only.  I'm drinking a Knob Creek 100 proof Rye at this very moment purchased in Fallsgrove for less than $30 all in, a good 20% less than the same liquor from Va.

DC has the best prices but not worth the aggravation of driving down there.  At least PG has real liquor stores, not those communist ones like Fairfax.

Tell you what. It's nice to see a team of guys who like each other. Good teammates. Picking each other up. Laughing. Playing hard.

Then you see the deadpan Nats who always seem depressed and dejected.

Yes I do but it looks like it could change this year but you can buy beer in grocery stores unlike maryland
I don't think so. You can only buy in large quantities from distributors, or you can buy a sixer in a bar...

That's Montgomery County, not the whole state.  A 7-11 in Howard County MD sells hard liquor.

And actually, a chain of grocery stores in Montgomery County is allowed to have beer and wine at ONE of their stores.  I believe that a Safeway in Olney sells beer & wine.

The reason the prices are lower is the county forces the suppliers to charge what they will pay or can't be sold in the county. What really bugs me is there is a micro brew in Gaithersburg. The county buys what they brew and sell it back for a profit and it never moves one inch

Man, that looked like Werth's ball in right center.     Span had to cover some ground.

yep. Braves go from down 4-1 to leading 5-4. They have heart. Unlike this punchless Nationals club. Two straight games with only 1 run scored on a solo shot.

(Image removed from quote.)

Virginia is far better for beer and wine, but Maryland better for liquor generally.

EVERY grocery store in Va sells beer and wine, not just a rare exception.

LOL, my college roommate buys beer for the county.   He's just a pawn in the machine.

We have to be among the leagues worst with RISP. I lost track of how many bases loaded situations we had this year to not even get one freaking run. Pathetic

And the beer rule is strict for each county some allow none at all.  And this team needs to be exiled to Siberia

LaRoche, Zimmerman & Harper's absence is killing this team.  I can't stand watching the anemic Nats losing these close games on what seems like a daily basis. :asplode:

Ross Detwiler gives up another run. What else would you expect?

Why exactly is Blevins, Storen etc rotting away in the pen?

How many times is our idiot manager going to throw Detwiler out there in close games?

So sick of watching Detwiler give up a run in every outing. Their continued support of him is so nauseating. He's killing us.

They are trying to give him another chance after weeks in mop up duty and of course he's crapting the bed with every chance he gets. Trade him now!
