I think the whole run support thing can be a two way street. I am sure it is frustrating for a pitcher when they pitch great and cant even get a run or two of backup to squeeze out a tight game. But how frustrating must it be for an offense who is continually being forced to come from behind by a pretty large margin before they even get a chance to bat. This game is at least 50% psychological.. probably more. It appeared to me that the team played with more fire behind Stammen yesterday than they ever did with Gio . There were no monsterous errors for Gio to blame. It was all on him.. but maybe his constant pouty "it is everyone elses fault but mine" attitude has finally worn thin on his teamates. I am only a fan and its worn thin on me.
