What makes this so bad is that none of these games have even been watchable.  Get behind early, play bad defense, don't convert with RISP, give up some more runs.  This is like the movie Groundhog Day.

I, at the very least, expect intelligent play.

I grant you that and agree.  But again, not even Kasten BSed any of you in thinking this team would be a contender of any kind.  This team will take hits in every aspect of it due to the horrid play of this year.  Prepare to deal with it.  Suck it up.

The Tigers dealt with years of been crappy.  But it took only one year to bring the fickle masses in droves.  That year will come for the Nats.  Just have to go through the dark tunnel to get to the light at the other end.  I have no doubt some of the people on this board will not be with us by the time we reach that light.  But they will be back.  Of that I have 110% confidence.

Until then though it will be a tough pill to swallow.  So take the blue pill, you go back to sleep and won't remember even there is a team here in DC.  Take the red pill, and we'll see how far this rabbit hole goes towards glory.

i just cant get over the fact that we have 7 hits and 2 walks - thats 9 runners and only 1 run!!! They have 8 hits and 5 walks = 13 runners and 6 runs. So they get 1 run per 2 runners and we get 1 run from 9 runners. Whats wrong withthis picture???

Great comparison.  It's like watching the same horrifying game over and over.  Get in a huge hole in the first few innings and then stay in that hole until we get one or two meaningless runs in the 8th or 9th inning.

Maybe things will get better once Guz and Logan get back.  I can't believe I would ever say that.

Thanks for the gift, Hudson.

This team is so damn bad.. hahahaha.  Arizona screws up the 1st DP ball so we reluctantly give them another perfect double play ball.

why casto swung on a 1-0 pitch is beyond my understanding. imagine, manny praised this guy for having patience at the plate. huh?

He needs some time in AAA before he is ready to play up here.  I can't wait until Nook comes back.

Fortunately, I'll be at the beach during the Cubs series.  So I'll stick my head in the sand for everyone.

My dad came up with a novel idea. Lets start the game with the relief pitchers and then bring in the starter to pitch the rest.

I told my uncle yesterday that we should just convert all of our pitchers to relievers and use each pitcher no more than 2 innings.  That's a lot better than falling behind 5-0 game after game.

We need Ryan Wagner to pitch 1000 innings this year. That is what we need.

Why doesn't a team just stockpile the best relievers in the game, then use them the whole game instead of starters?

each pitcher can pitch three innings on a 3 game rotation. With 12 pitchers that would work fine.

Can't blame Chief really.. I wouldn't want to pitch in this crappy game either
