Tomorrow they face another crafty (crappy) veteran in Brandon McCarthy (1-6 with a 5.66 ERA). yippe  :hang:

What's worse: getting shutout over 7 IP by Fausto Carmona(or whatever the freak his name is now)or getting Complete Gamed by Branson mother freaking Arroyo?

McCarthy is 1-6 with a 5.66 ERA. He probably dominates the Nats tomorrow.

Ray - "We don't have the type of batters who can make adjustments in the box".

Somebody needs to get fired over this.

Uhh, Werth struck out twice then centered two pitches in his last two ABs.  Ramos had a pretty decent game plan, Rendon changed his approached in his last couple ABs.   Frandsen almost knocked one out again in HIS last AB.   The offense is definitely struggling but we had several guys change their approach.

I hope so but I feel like the DBacks are the type of team that will hit him hard with him leaving flat sinkers up in the zone.

Wrong.  Bronson Arroyo on his best day should hold you to one run.  There should have been four or five runs score on Arroyo by the fifth inning.

Watch the post game show.  Ray is going to explain what adjustments really are.

So those things didn't happen?  Even Span let the ball travel and went the other way in his last AB, just hit it right to SS unfortunately.

You realize Arroyo has been lights-out his last 4 starts, right?  Against the Brewers, right now one of the BEST performing teams in the league, he threw 7.1 innings, allowed 5 hits, 1R (on a double play), and struck out 4.

Ray is putting on a clinic right now. Too bad Rick Schu is a fool and our hitters have no game plan at the plate.

Which means the Brewers didn't adjust either.  It is completely, 100% knowable about Arroyo is going to pitch to you.  No guesswork is required. What the Nationals offense did tonight should never happen against Bronson Arroyo.

Matt not pleased with Strasburg giving up a hit to the pitcher (twice).

Some how he's made a 15-some odd year career out of it...

He hasn't made a 15-year career out of complete games, 1 run allowed.  His career is four or five runs allowed and out by the sixth inning, especially now.

So what we can expect from Stras, minus the ring?

Arroyo is a good batter.  This game should not be placed at Stras's feet.  Dude has a QS.  Shades of last year with this lack of run support crap.
