Well, they sure were crushing Treinen all over the park, weren't they.

Who gives a freak! Put your better pitcher in a tie game in the 6th inning. Stammen was fresh and should have started the inning. Who knows, he might have struck out Kershaw and none of this would have happened.

:lmao: SF for manager! The Nats would be undefeated with SF and PC managing.

Or the same thing may have happened...

He had given Williams more innings than he'd ever pitched before.  What is the basis for expecting MORE from him?  What data would Williams use to make the decision that today, right now, he could get more out of him?

This was an easy decision.

He continued to pitch great into the 6th, what game are you watching?  He induced little nothings all over the infield, exactly what you want out of ANY pitcher in the 6th.  Where do you and SF come up with this crap?

Where were you complaining about this an inning ago?

Or pigs could have flown out of Stammen's butt.

Might as well be 13 runs the way this team hits.

Need Stras to pitch an absolute gem tomorrow. Bullpen needs saving, we need a series win, and we can't let Dan freaking Haren come into our house and beat us after pitching like crap last year.

That's the Stammen you were clamoring for.  By your standard the broken bat single was crushed, right?

That's a terrible basis for making a decision ESPECIALLY in a 0-0 game!  He had never pitched beyond this point in his entire career.  There was no evidence, no data point for sending Treinen out for another inning in this situation and expecting a good result.

Haren won vs Minn in his last start, but watching him IMHO he was not that sharp

Eh, over a five game period we were scheduled to hit against Lee, Burnett, Hamels, Grienke, and Kershaw. Even  with a loss tonight, we beat two of those pitchers. Granted, we should have beat Hernandez, but I am happy with 2-3 against that lineup.
