2 b or not 2 b? 26Winfield26 is really the Bard himself.
We have several of Shakespeare's signatures, and none of them is spelled "Shakespeare". In the 1600s, people really hated writing stuff out in full, so they used contractions all the time - even in formal legal contracts, and even in their own names. One of his signatures is spelled "Willm Shakp". Willm Shakp was how he signed a deposition in a lawsuit heard at Westminster. His own damn will and testament has three signatures, and in each his name is abbreviated in a different way!

Seriously, page 24 of this thread has been one of the best reads for me on wnff in a long time.

yes.  I started reading the thread from about 25 on just to pick up what people were saying right before the rally.

That's like only reading history on December 8, 1941 and thinking it's the tone of WWII.      ;)

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that runs to base with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Wash'ton now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Jayson’s day.

I officially give up on this team for good.  I will now officially root for the Blue Jays.  It's over for the Nats.  They blew their chance.  What a epic face palm disaster this team is.

I believe we'll sweep the Padres and be on the fast track to take the NL East.  You heard it here first folks.
