Can you sub for a position player during the inning?

Something is wrong with Harper. No idea what it is.

The did not learn their lesson from last year, they said they did, but they didn't.

And somehow they beat the Braves 2 out of 3.  What's that say about the Nats?

"The Nats are better because they didn't lose to the Mets!"  :koolaid:

If you can't beat them, hit them.

Something is wrong with Harper. No idea what it is.

Maybe he is used to winning and when things aren't going well he doesn't quite yet know how to handle it?  No excuse but he seems very disinterested right now.

That they can't beat the braves to save their lives.

Guys that never face adversity in their younger careers have this problem. Stras is/was the same way, I think.

Alright.  Harper needs a benching. Not a fake "giving him a rest" benching.  He needs to be called the f out.  Also, its time for water coolers to be tossed after this one, assuming this team and its management has any stones.  If we dont hear about a closed door meeting with screaming after this from Zuckerman and Kilgore, well you can call it a year b/c this team is a bunch of nages.

... Nats are 6-0 against all teams except Braves, 1-5 against Braves?  How many games do we play against the Braves?  if it's less than 63, we'll still win 100 games.  That should give us the division.

Yeah, he's a middling player and when things dont go his way he takes it easy in the field and doesn't play fundamentally sound.

Ah, I see. So if he has a bad game in the season opener the season is shot, he loafs to balls in the outfield and runs into every out possible. What a stud

If they start tossing coolers, we'll be dealing with more guys on the DL.

Maybe they should put Harper at catcher to wake him up. Tell him if he has a few passed balls it's back to AAA

We have 13 left after today (7 home, 6 away).

Frandsen's been a huge bright spot so far. I was very leery about him when we signed him. I hope this isn't just a hot streak out of the gate.

Okay, but the Mets and the Marlins are crap teams. We honestly won't know if we're a good club or a bad club until after the Nationals play other decent teams.
