We should eliminate them long before that...

We have the power to eliminate them from the division, but Pittsburgh is going to be claiming a WC spot over them.

Cole Hamels on the Nats: "If they maintain the way they are playing right now, they are going to be walking in a parade somewhere."

Who gives a crap what Fake Tough thinks about the Washington Nationals. He's run his mouth way too much about this team in the past to have any credibility with Washington fans. We don't forget.

This makes it sound like nobody knows where they would have a parade. Like, they are going to be walking in parade, but will it be in DC? Or Bavaria? Or Tahiti? Who knows?!? Not Cole Hamels!

Well, where would the parade be? By Nats Park? Pennsylvania ave? Constitution Ave?

PA Ave to Freedom Plaza; the old Council Bldg.    I remember Ken Mease and others having a rally there to bring a team to DC.    The Bullets had their parade in that area in '79.    Centrally located and guaranteed to piss off commuters.    Ideal

PA Avenue would be the traditional route. Like you said, maybe start at the Capitol and then end at Freedom Plaza. PA Avene, of course, is the route taken by the Inaugural Parade so they have a process in place for parades along the route. Constitution Avenue is also a favorite route. That's where the Cherry Blossom and St. Patrick's Day parades take place.

What might also work is a parade from the Capitol down South Capitol Street that ends at the park.

It's kind of fun just to think about it.

We should have the parade in Atlanta just to rub it in.

We could parade through Turner field letting each player stop and step on the A as they pass through.

I was just thinking about that whole last series/ Bryce thing and I am expecting to see some retaliation this series in some manner.

Turner Field is not used to that many fans--they would be overwhelmed!
We should retaliate first--with a win or two, or three.

The problem with the retaliation thing is the Nats have to be careful to not to get any players hurt because they're going to the postseason and the Braves don't.

Yeah, they might even step on our W!   We'd have to bean them then.

Our W is painted on the grass. Good luck scuffing that.

Also, they are painting the W on the mound in bright red now (or, at least they did Friday night).   Messing that up will be really obvious.

Yeah, they might even step on our W!   We'd have to bean them then.

With 21 games left for the Nats and a seven game lead over the Barfs (who have 19 games left), if the Nats go 11-10 the Barfs would have to 17-2 just to tie at 91 wins each.

I wish they'd get back to the curly W in the centerfield grass.

We should find one of his decendents and have them honor the courage and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform by throwing out the first pitch.  What the heck, find 3 and do the whole series.

My GGGrandfather fought in Sherman's 5th Division at Shiloh.    I'm available if you can't find a Sherman.
