Ah ha, it was you Global Moderator.

Did anyone else hear something?

I just like watching Aaron Paul say "nag". but it's a promo for the Emmy Awards and also a Breaking Bad parody

Agreed.

;)

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills
and put your helmet on

Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown,
engines on
Check ignition
and may God's love be with you

This is Ground Control
to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule
if you dare

This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating
in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

Though I'm past
one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much
she knows

Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead,
there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you....

Here am I floating
round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do.

I'm not so sure Nats even need to "get it together" per se - sure the series against the phillies was the suck, but that was the first sweep against the Nats since what, June? I see that as a fluke - much like the 5 walk-offs in the 10 game streak was a fluke.

It's like scoring in skating, you throw out the high and the low and what's left is pretty much what you are. What's left is a team with the best record in the league, the best run differential, a top 3 pitching staff and a top 3 offense.  Should be more than good enough to win this thing.

Bring it on

I like you.

I like him too as long as he is correct.  If he is wrong then I'm very upset at him.

I officially give up on this team for good.  I will now officially root for the Blue Jays.  It's over for the Nats.  They blew their chance.  What a epic face palm disaster this team is.
Get the freak out Blue Jays fan

funny how the chauvinist belief is that women are irrational, and yet the women on this board, are the most rational ones.
Not saying all the guys are irrational, but for the most part hot/cold folks are guys. Including me at times when I get frustrated.

The tone skews towards screeching monkeys throwing poo every August.  It is a function of the shorter days and indirect sun.

Look...  I'm not a panic-monkey, but here it goes.  We are now playing on the road against Seattle and then against the LA Dodgers who have incredible pitching.  Then we play the Phillies again who just swept us, and then the Braves who we historically crap the bed against.

If the Braves stay hot in the next week or so and then sweep us, we'll likely be in second place in 2 weeks.
