Well then I guess its up to the Nats now. They can get their heads out of their collective asses and finish this series with the Mets with 2 wins and go into Atlanta 4.5 games up or they can roll over and die and go into Atlanta 2.5 games up.

It would be great to get to Turner field with enough of a cushion that even a sweep wouldnt take us out of first. All of the pressure would be on the Braves and we see how well they are handling that right now.

We really do have our fate in our own hands right now.

The Nats shouldn't feel any pressure this weekend. The Barfs are imploding.

Just take 2 of 3, and make those Friday and Saturday since those are the days I'll be there.

Either punch a Barves fan in the face for me or hatefreak their gf

You can barely see the Braves now. So sad we should have done more at the deadline

So we can end up 7.5, 5.5, 3.5, or 1.5 up after this series.

This is a big series, you guys.

Game one is a huge game. Barves will think the series is a great way to snap out of their funk.

People are talking about how the pressure is on Stras because the bullpen worked hard, but aside from Stammen nobody faced more than 3 batters and Det didn't throw. This long outing could be worse. And I say when you have just lost 8 in a row, a day off isn't rest; it's just prolonging the suffering.

Bring them on.

It appears that the Braves will continue to dominate us this year.  We have 8 games remaining with them.  Our best hope for a division title is to hope the rest of the NL beats up on them.
