Ramos and Desi are similar hitters in that they both smash the ball and dislike walks.  Williams seems to be putting his plodders (RZ, Ramos) fairly close together, leaving sort of a road block in front of Harper so he does not make dumb running decisions.

with Ramos, I wonder if that approach was a result of hitting 8 and knowing that he was going to have to be the one to drive any runner in and that he better get himself into scoring position for span if he wanted to score

just tuned into 106.7 looking forward to opening day talk leading into charley and dave in a couple of hours- apparently there's a wide receiver the Redskins want to sign

I hear ya bro.    I was at the gym and turned on 106.7 (around 10 AM) hoping to hear Opening Day stuff.    Boom !    Straight to Jackson's in town and should we sign him    Listened to the Junkies and they were nagging about not getting calls for Opening Day.    They had 3 segments of 'skins before that.   I almost called and said Nats fans don't listen to your sorry arses 'cause all you do is talk about pro-football.    It's all you know.    Spare me that you know other sports.   I can read the Sports page and glean what you know.

Anyway, "Let's play two."

We all know the Pats will sign Jackson.  Their reputation took a hit when Hernandez was taken off the roster, so they have to bring in someone to keep up the image.

I'm thinking Ravens for when Rice goes to jail.     Does Jackson beat his fiance'?   :mg:    Though you're right.    The Pats have the more immediate need.

My goodness JCA  ....  we're just like 106.7.    Talking football in a Nats thread.    No more football in here from me.

I don't know why JCA says Ramos "dislikes walks."  His career BB% is acceptable; I think your theory is right.

Really like our chances of starting 1-0... hoping for more Opening Day magic from Strasburg & Harper
