I hear ya.    Some folks think any personal opinions that question the goings on are LOD'ers or want the Nats to fail.    There may be a few of those people runnin' around but for the most part, this is Natsylvania.        My comment was tongue in cheek  ...   My intent was to imply that some have been waiting over a year to pull out a standing that shows the Nats in first (not Smithian particularly).    Don't remember seeing the standings posted last year.

And I agree with spider. Standings equal realityou and reality is the Nats have played well through injuries in a very winnable division. If they can stick near the top until Zimmerman is back then I believe they can win this thing comfortably.

I think that I would have had plenty of respect for Williams hearing a leaked report that he let his feeling be known in a closed door meeting. I lost some respect  hearing it directly from him.

I hated him benching Harper.  HATED IT. I know some people were all "oh yea that'll teach him" well it hasn't done a darned thing and I thought it made Williams look like a petty little man, and then the public dressing down afterward was just over the top nonsense.

McCatty needs to work with Detwiler on his warm up procedures. Maybe Detwiler is going to be one of those guys you can only bring in on a fresh inning with a lot of warm up time.

Limited experience. And, IIRC, the most he spent in relief was when we were starting Wang for 3/4/5 innings and Detwiler was coming in relief of him. So he would start prepping a couple innings in advance.

I'd like to see him work on prepping quicker and just using him for a batter or two. Almost like a LOOGY.

Gotta give him props, he was doing match ups in the 8th. It wasn't solely, hand the ball to Clippard because he's the 8th inning guy. Now I just wish he'd use Storen more like a closer but not in the 9th inning.
