Nope, 84-86 I read. Did say he learned to throw a true slider in 5 minutes. Has good command to both sides of the plate but hasn't faced any hitters.

Well, as a runner defender who could draw enough walks in lower minors to be interesting. I think he's played in one or two WBCs for Chinese Taipei, or Taiwan, or the Republic of China, or whatever they are known as.

Braves extend Freeman, 8 years and up to $125 million. I haven't seen the breakdown of the incentives though.

The problem is the elbow feels great after a month or so. Trying to keep Type A personalities on a slow rehab is tough.

What a ridiculous contract for Freeman after a big year aided by fluke hitting with RISP. He'll come back down to earth this year. He's a decent player for sure but that money seems absurd.

Reds To Extend Homer Bailey
