Awesome. I'm guessing Span is going to Detroit.

Nope.

Word is part of the package is Lombardozzi and LH Robbie Ray.

Love the deal. Lombardozzi was a nice bench player for us but he can be replaced. Ray was our 5th best pitching prospect behind AJ Cole, Lucas Giolito, Tanner Roark and Taylor Jordan. If this is all we give up for a guy who pitches 200 innings, has a whip of 1.2 and a 3.35 ERA and a salary of 4M it's a great deal.

1- Strasburg
2- Gio
3- Zimmermann
4- Fister
5- Roark/Jordan

Love it.

Rumors are flying that Lombo is part of the deal, makes sense as he's expendable with Cano.  Storen another likely candidate, his comments about not wanting to shake up the team after a disappointing season may have expedited his departure, of course Detroit is a pretty darn nice landing spot.

They're just speculating optimistically that they get a good deal just like we're speculating optimistically that we get a good deal.

A grande questão desse negócio é que não faz sentido o Lombardozzi nos Tigers se o time quer renovar com o Don Kelly e pegou o Kinsler.

Excellent pickup if the deal was centered around Lombo and Storen.

Holy S&#^. Ninth best pitcher of the past three years, above both Gio and JZ. How did I not know about this?

So this puts detwiler in the loogey role?

rotations usually have 5 starters

detwiler is the #5 with roark/jordan waiting in AAA/long relief.

They're just speculating optimistically that they get a good deal just like we're speculating optimistically that we get a good deal.

They are saying Fister has extra value being under control for 2 years.

detwiler always gets injured.  Roark should get the nod.

What makes this deal even better is that they can push one of the kids (Jordan, Roark) back to AAA for more seasoning... or move Detwiler to the bullpen as a power arm.

There is absolutely no way in hell that giolito is in the deal.  I'd wear the assclown avatar for a year if he's in it.

Detroit already has a #1, how are they going to fit Lombo's name on a uniform with their font size?
