Jeff Wilpon, the Mets’ chief operating officer, said the whole organization now felt pressure to win. As a result, expectations will adjust accordingly, including those that will be placed on Collins."

This year the Dodgers started spending big and made the playoffs, the Braves recovered from their off year, and now the Mets are about to try to drag themselves out of the cellar, it's almost like 2012 was our year to win it all against some beatable teams.  Too bad we took ourselves out of the race.

Hard for it to be much worse, a terrible division this year, put the Nats in the AL East and they would have been a .500 team.

Often teams play up--or down--to the level of the opposition.  A stronger division would be a good thing IMO.
