If he loses John Jay, he'll have to deal with James Monroe.

I can't believe there was an idiot here last year who refused to believe that Bob was happy the cardinals beat the Nats in the playoffs.

Knowing who Carpenter is, I kind of look the other way while messin' with him the whole way.

It was a run-on sentence but it was comical the way it came out of Carp's mouth.

We cannot afford to have Laroche in the lineup every day next season (but it would be pure gold to see the SF meltdowns over it ).

I'm already getting my hopes up seeing the raiders' offensive line. They're starting Tony Pashos at RT. The Redskins cut him 3 weeks ago. Then again the Redskins defense will likely keep Oakland in the game.  :hang:

He shouldn't have been in the lineup every day this season.

You read/sound like Carpenter PC.   :)

I posted about this after the first series in Washington.  It was single after single after single and they swept us.  That was the time that Desmond said he always swings for "big contact".

...one of the low points of the season.

One of the worst moves by Rizzo.

That and sticking with Danny for several weeks longer than they should have.

Definitely. Combine that with keeping a narcoleptic manager around and Haren and it's no surprise people discuss his firing.

Just watching the game makes you realize the Nats have a way to go before they can really be considered a contender for the NL crown. The Cards are noticeably better in almost every aspect of the game.

WOW.  The Reds got Choo to third with no outs in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game and they didn't score.

Yep. Better starting pitching, hitting, defense, and relief pitching.

When we are at our best we can compete with them but this team definitely needs some new pieces in the offseason.
